The newly appointed Danish ambassador to Somalia Miss Mette Knudsen has on Monday handed over her credentials to the President of Somalia His Excellency Hassan Sheikh.
After the handover the President and the new ambassador have profoundly discussed about how to strengthen the bilateral tie between the two countries. The Minister for foreign Affairs Honorable Abdisalan Hadliye Omar was present during the credentials handover session.
Miss Metta addressed the press after concluding her discussion with the president and submission of her credentials. “Today is one of my best days, I am so delighted that the President of Somalia has accepted my credentials as Danish ambassador to Somalia and I will fully focus on the good relationship between the two countries” said Miss Knudsen.
Lately the Somali government has been improving its diplomatic relation with and similarly quite number the international countries have been sending their ambassadors to Somalia.
