The district commissioner of Hamarweyne district Honorable Abdikadir Mohamed Abdikadir speaking to the press on Thursday says that he has been severely tortured by the Banadir Police commissioner General Ali Hirsi alias Ali Gaab while he was inside Hamarweyne police station.
“The Banadir Commissioner with fully armed soldiers’ stormed at the former building of the Somali films agency in Hamarweyne district and evicted the inhabitants who have been residing in that building since the collapse of Siyad Barre’s regime, and we have the rights to be informed before any action is taken in the district, but it never happened” said honorable Mohamed.
The district commissioner also added that when he asked the Banadir police commissioner was it not worth the district administration to be informed any action which is taken within the territory of their district, and the answer he got from the police commissioner was that he said he is using his powers, and does not need to inform anybody about his actions in any district in Mogadishu.
On the other hand the Hamarweyne district commissioner said that bhe has informed the security agencies about the incident what has happened, and he hopes that they will do something about it for the sake of good governance.
