Somalia: Alshabab fighters aggress two AU bases in Mogadishu

The fighters of the radical Islamist faction in somalia have on Monday night aggressed two African Union bases in the Somali capital mogadishu.

The fightings occurred at Towfiq intersection and the former pasta factory. During the fight both sides have exchanged heavy and light weapons and rocket propel grenades.

The AU troops instantly got reinforcement from their other colleagues in other bases and Somali government soldiers, and this has resulted Alshabab fighters to be pushed back.

The casualties between the two foghting sides is not apparent, but surely there have been casualties of death and injuries.

This clearly indicates that Alshabab fighters are still active despite having lost several key towns in the country.
