Somali regional security minister wounded in guards fire

Puntland regional state of Somalia top security official has been wounded in Bosaso on Thursday.

Security minister Abdi Hersi Qarjab and six other people were wounded following exchange of fire between security guards of regional special force commander and police commissioner.

It is not immediately clear what triggered the exchange of live fire.
Qarjab was taken to Bosaso hospital where he is nursing his wounds.

The clashes between armed security guarding senior Somali officials is common in the war torn state due to fear of Alshabaab infiltration.
