Somali Presidential Elections to be Held on December, Source

Historic Presidential and Parliamentary elections in Somalia might not be conducted on stipulated time thus on august according electoral commission timetable released earlier.

Document seen by Radio Dalsan shows that the Presidential elections will be conducted on 12th December thus four months after the expire of current government term.

Parliamentary and senate members election is scheduled on October and November this year respectively.

The delay of the historic event is said to have been resulted by the technical issues both within the government and independent electoral commission.

The electoral commission committee is set to converge in a meeting in the capital Mogadishu at the end of this month.

The changes in the election time table will rule out the promise by the President that the election will be held on stipulated time and no extension plan.
