Somali President sends condolences to Mogadishu hotel attack victims

The President of the Federal Republic of Somali has sent his heartfelt condolences to the victims of Mogadishu hotel attack on Saturday.

More than 20 people were killed when Alshabaab militants stormed Nasa Hablod hotel in the capital Mogadishu yesterday evening before security forces ended the attack within four hours.

President Sheikh Mohamud categorically sent his condolences to the family of state ministrr for environment who was among those lost their lives in the attack.

“on behalf of the federal government of Somalia, I want to send my heartlfelt condolences to the family of martyr Burci Hamza Mohamed, state minister for environment,” the president said.

“He will be remembered for his patriotism for his country particularly initiative to safeguard the environment,” he added.

President Sheikh Mohamud further prayed for the victims of the attack and vowed not bore to the terror attacks from armed group Alshabaab.

Alshabaab have intensified attacks during the holy month of Ramadan against the Somali government targets.

More than 11 hotels were targeted by the group through car bombs in Mogadishu since the group pushed out of the capital Mogadishu.
