Somali Police Chief says salah crucial qualification to join the force

Somali police chief has said five daily Islamic prayers key qualifications to join the law enforcement agency.

Speaking during police passing out parade in the port city of Kismayo on Monday, General Mohamed Sheikh Hassan has called upon new recruits and serving Somali police officers to establish five Islamic daily prayers.

General Hamud said those who don’t establish prayers and chew khat while on duty will be punished and reliefed of their duties.
