Somali military Commandos have killed more than 15 Alshabaab militants.
According to government official in the area the raid took place in Garcad in Galgadud region.
Garcad district commissioner Khadar Mohamed Ali has confirmed to Radio Dalsan.
He the said the troops have also destroyed Alshabaab base during the raid on early morning.
Somali special forces backed by US counter terrorism elite unit have carried out several attacks against Alshabaab training facilities in Somalia in recent months.
