Kenya MP hints negotiations with Al Shabaab to stop attacks

Kenyan national assembly majority leader Adan Duale and key figure in President Uhuru Kenyatta Jubile government has said they are ready to negotiate with Somali armed group Al Shabaab to stop attacks.

Mr. Duale comments comes less than 24 hours after Al Shabaab claimed the attack on the convoy of the governor of Mandera along Kenya-Somalia border.

Four people were killed in the attack and one vehicle is still missing.

He also called upon Al Shabaab to stop attacks against the majority Somali dominated region of North Eastern Kenya.

Adan Duale hails from Garissa town which has experienced wave of Al Shabaab attacks in retaliation for the incursion of Kenyan troops in Southern Somalia in late 2011.
