Former Somali President Brother wounded in Mogadishu

The brother of former Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed was wounded in Somali capital on Thursday night.

Abdullahi sheikh Ahmed sustained injuries when gunmen opened fire while in Mogadishu Karan district.

Officials have confirmed to Radio Dalsan.

Abdullahi was working with Turkish firm operating in Mogadishu.

It is not immediately clear what really motivated the attack but Somali elites working with Turkish firms in the country have been targeted recently through explosives and hit and run attacks.
