Former transitional government President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has said the government is trying to politicize disputed maritime border with Kenya.

Speaking during live television show in Mogadishu on Wednesday evening Sheikh Sharif said the timing of case and his arrival proves the intention.

He said no purchase of Somali water territory as per the media news report adding that people should read the content of MoU before judge.

When asked about whether he was aware or not, Sheikh Sharif said he was not aware of any MoU signature between Kenya and Somalia as President and senior TFG government officials at the time who were involved in the agreement will carry the responsibility.
