AMISOM withdraws from Qoryole base

African Union peace keeping troops in Somalia have withdrawn from a base in Qoryole in lower Shabelle region.

This puts the number of bases vacated by AMISOM for the last one week at four since Al Shabaab deadly attack on their Lego base earlier this week.

It is not clear the main reason leading to massive withdrawal for a force that was put in place by the international community to restore order in the war torn state from armed group Al shabaab.

No comment from both AMISOM officials and Somali government concerning the move that is described many Somalis as a setback in realizing the restoring stability and order in their country.

Armed group Al Shabaab has vowed to intensify attacks against government and African Union troops.

over 60 Burundian soldiers who are part of AMISOM mission were killed by Al Shabaab assault on Lego base.
