Alshabaab existence discredits Somali passport, President Mohamud

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has said the existence of armed group Alshabaab has resulted the poor reputation of Somali passport across the globe.

Sheikh Mohamud said the Al Qaida linked group ambitions and attacks mainly in the neighbouring countries has made difficult for the citizens to travel with the passport without visa.

Somali leader however maintained that the countries that restrict Somali passport do so for the sake of Alshabaab actions and not for Somali people.

He urged Somali people to cooperate with security agencies in the fight against armed group fighting to topple his government.

Somali passport is one of least trusted document in the globe according to a recent survey.
