Three days Mogadishu International Book Fair has concluded on Friday night in Mogadishu hotel.
The event which is first of its kind in the city that is vigorously recovering from two decades of civil war has brought together more than 50 Somali authors and thousands of interested Somalis both from local and international into the fair.
Senior Somali government officials including President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud attended the event on the second day.
According to the organizers of the event this will not be the end and it will be annual event and the next one will be bigger and better.
Over 17000 have registered to attend the first international event that was dubbed by many young social media users as transformation from bullets to books.
16 year old Abukar Mohamed Abdullahi was the talk of the event as he is the youngest author to participate in the fair and encouragement to much young generation.
