Abdullahi Farah Wehliye the State Minister in the Ministry of Interior trounced his opponent to be elected the MP in a by election the Galmudug administrative capital of Dhusamareb.
Wehliye beat his only opponent Mohamed Afrah by garnering 28 votes out of a 51.
The by election was held following the death of former MP Bootan Alin in October 2017.
He served as the State Minister for 12 months after his appointment last year.
