The deputy Vice President of Hirshabelle state Yussuf Ahmed Hagar Dabageed has fired the Minister of Health Dr. Zakaria Mohamed Ahmed.

Sources say the Vice President had alluded to close confidents that the Minister was sacked after an independent and critical self-review on his performance.
The minister had earlier been informed about the changes, with his vacant positions filled by his deputy according to instructions from the Vice President.
It is not clear wether the decision to fire the Minister is a decision the President of the Hirshabelle State is in agreement with his deputy or not.
The two leaders of the state have had leadership wrangles on Government appointments and other administrative differences.
President Ali Gudlawe has remained mum on the cabinet changes orchestrated by his Vice President.
Hirshabelle was the last state to be established in the federal system of Somalia in 2016 and has since then made significant gains in responding to needs of the people and providing better services which have been lost after the collapse of the central government in the 1990s.
