Sarova Hotels Denies Media Reports That Puntland Leader Bought Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi
Sarova Hotels and Resorts Kenya has denied media reports that Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi has been bought by Puntland Leader Said Abdullahi Deni.
In a statement, Sarova Hotels and Resorts Kenya termed the information circulating in sections of media as ”FAKE NEWS” warning the public on the posts.
”Sarova Hotels and Resorts Kenya would like to caution the public on a post making rounds on social media alleging that our Nairobi hotel, Sarova Stanley, has been bought by a Business Tycoon from Somalia,” read part of the statement.
”Sarova Hotels and Resorts Kenya would further like to notify the public that if a sale of any of our hotels was to take place, an official statement from the Company’s Board of Directors would be released,” the statement added.
There have been reports in the past days that the President of Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni bought the Sarova Stanley Hotel in Nairobi.
Sarova Stanley is a five-star hotel in Nairobi, Kenya. It is the oldest hotel in the city, having been established in 1902 by English businesswoman Mayence Bent.
