HirShabelle State leader Ali Gudlawe Hussein has declined to attend a conference called by Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble to review the recently adopted electoral agreement ahead of August this year.

In a statement HirShabelle statehouse, the regional state leader will not be attending the meeting in Mogadishu due to lack of consultation.

“Hirshabelle State is not participating in the meeting of the National Consultative Council of the Federal Government, the Member States and the Benadir Regional Administration in Mogadishu,” the statement read.

The regional state said it will abide by the implementation of the September 17 and May 27 Agreements signed by the federal government and regional state leaders in Mogadishu.
