Southwest & HirShabelle States Submit Revised Poll Committees PM Roble
South West and the HirShabelle States have submitted their amended electoral commissions to Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble.
HirShabelle State made four changes to its federal, state-level commissions as well as the dispute resolutions committee, while HirShabelle replaced two members from its federal and state-level committees.
Prime Minister Roble lauded the regional states who have so far submitted their revised members to the election committees and called on the remaining regional state (Galmudug) to submit its revised list immediately.
He also met with the committee he had assigned to verify members of the election committees, who had briefed them on their activities. He applauded them for the work they have so far achieved.
”Thanks to FMS who submitted the revised Electoral Commissions list to the Prime Minister office . It is expected that the remaining FMS will submit their nominations as soon as possible as the time is running out, so that elections to take place timely and very soon,” government spokes,an Mohamed Moalimuu said in a statement.
The committee removed 34 members from the various election committees, a move that was largely welcomed by the Council of the Presidential Candidates.
