Bahrain condemns suicide bombing in Somali capital
Bahrain strongly condemned a suicide bombing in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Sunday.
”Bahrain condemned the terrorist attack that took place near a bus station in Mogadishu, Somalia, resulting in the death and injury,” the Bahrain Foreign Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
”The ministry affirmed the Kingdom’s solidarity with Somalia in all the measures it takes to combat extremist terrorist organizations and maintain security and stability, reiterating Bahrain’s position in rejecting all forms of violence, extremism, and terrorism.” the statement added.
Earlier on Saturday, two people were killed and 23 others wounded in a bomb attack at a busy market and bus stop in Mogadishu.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing, the al-Qaeda-affiliated group al-Shabaab has admitted responsibility for recent attacks in the Horn of Africa country.
