PM Roble Ask Civilians Fleeing Mogadishu Armed Conflict To Return, Pledges Security
Somali Prime Minster MohamedHRoble Wednesday called on the families who fled their homes during recent skirmishes in Mogadishu to return to their houses.
Roble ordered the security forces to facilitate for the public to return to their homes and businesses.
“I call on those displaced by the recent violence in Mogadishu to return to their homes, ” PM Roble said in a statement.
“I urge the military to make it easier for the public to return to their homes and businesses. We are committed to bringing peace and stability to our people.” added.
Hundreds of families who were caught between pro-government and opposition forces in Mogadishu were seen fleeing their homes.
On Tuesday civilians in some districts began evacuating their homes, packing their households into Autorickshaws public vehicles and donkeys.
