Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble on Friday received a report and recommendations from Gedo Reconciliation Committee to pave the way for free and fair elections to be held in Garbaharey town.
“I assure the people of Somalia that today all that remains is for President Ahmed Madobe to issue a decree to the Garbaharey district administration which has been submitted to me [with the names], and I will submit it to the president,” he said. Rumble.
Roble added that the Gedo region issue is now in its final stages, and all that remains is for him and Ahmed Madobe to issue a circular to members of the Gedo regional administration.
The Premier also directed Security and Immigration Agency that no citizen or candidate be barred from travelling to cities across the country.
The Gedo Regional Reconciliation Commission visited Garbaharey, the regional capital of Gedo, where they met with members of the public and concluded with a meeting in Kismayo with Jubbaland State President Ahmed Mohamed Islam and other politicians.
