Passenger Plane Crash Lands in Gedo Region

A Skyward Airlines plane with 45 passengers on board crash-landed at Elwak in Gedo region while on its way to Mandera.

The accident occurred on Wednesday, July 21, after the plane skidded off the runway at Elwak airstrip in Gedo, near Mandera, damaging its propeller and landing gear. 

Reports indicated that all passengers on board escaped unhurt.

The Kenyan aircraft operated by Skyward Airlines, Reg 5Y -GRS made an emergency landing at Burahache closed airstrip veering off the strip.
