The Somali government has denied reports that Somali troops sent for training in Eritrea joined the fighting between the Ethiopian National Defense Forces and the TPLF in Ethiopia.
Somalia’s Minister of Information Osman Abukar Dubbe has said that no Somali soldiers have fought in northern Ethiopia.
“There are no Somali soldiers that took part in the fight between TPLF and Ethiopia,” He said.
The statement of the minister came hours after several mothers who spoke to the media told the government to comment on the allegations.
The mothers called on the government to return the soldiers in the country.
Last week former NISA deputy chief said nearly 400 Somali soldiers were killed after they took part in fighting between Ethiopia and TPLF.
