A civilian has been killed and another one injured in the head after being caught in clashes between Kenyan security forces and Alshabaab militants in Mandera county near Kenya-Somalia border on Friday officials confirmed on Saturday.
The incident took place in Wako Dadacha, Banisa in Mandera county and lasted four several hours.
Speaking to the media, Mandera Governor Ali Roba who confirmed the incident said the armed al-Shabaab fighters were droved away by the security forces.

He also said the security in the county deteriorated in recent weeks, challenging security forces to step up operations to provide terrorist cells in the county.
