Acting Minister of Finance of the Federal Government of Somalia Abdirahman Duale Beyle held the annual World Bank and the impact of economic held a video conference with World Bank to discuss the impact of covid-19 on the country’s economy.
In a statement posted on his Twitter account, Minister Beyle said the leaders who attended the conference shared the country’s financial transformation and the impact of the coronavirus on the Somali economy.
”Today we held important discussions engagement in Somalia on the sidelines of the virtual Annual Meetings with VP Hafez Ghanem and the country team,” tweeted finance minister Abdirahman Duale Beyle.
”We are grateful to the Bank for the support towards the reform efforts & strengthening our COVID-19 response,”
Minister of Finance Abdirahman Duale Beyle thanked World Bank Vice President for Africa Hafez Ghanem for the World Bank’s support to Somalia.
“We are grateful to the World Bank for its support in its economic reform efforts and in strengthening its response to the effects of coronavirus,” said Minister Beyle.
