A contingent of AMISOM Djibouti troops have reached besieged Bula-Burte town.
Armed group Al Shabaab has cut off the town from the outside for the past months in an effort to prevent the AMISOM operation expansion in the area.
The group attacked AMISOM convoy escorting food aid on Friday near the city of Beled-Weyn.
African Union troops and Somali National Army have launched operation dubbed Indian Ocean early last year to take new areas from Al Shabaab.
