African Union Mission in Somalia AMISOM has dismissed report by the Islamic state that carried out an attack on AU forces.
ISIL Al Amaq News Agency reported on Monday saying the group has successifully carried first attack in Somali soil by destroying AMISOM personnel carrier in the outskirts of Mogadishu.
AMISOM operations commander Joseph Kibet has said Alshabaab was behind the explosive attack aimed at AMISOM vehicle but did not cause major damage.
Somali Intelligence Agency NISA has on Monday captured in a security operation Alshabaab figure Hassan Fanah who is said to have pledge alleigance to Islamic state.
There was infighting between Alshabaab members since last year between two groups, those who are opposed to allegiance to Islamic state and those are in favour.
