Radio Dalsan is a leading private radio station in Somalia owned by Dalsan Media Group. Radio Dalsan is based in Mogadishu where it produces and broadcasts news, documentaries, entertainment, and religious programming in Somali. Radio Dalsan broadcasts through its transmitters in Mogadishu (91.5 MHz) in the Banadir regionBaidoa (100.1 MHz) in South West StateDhusamareb (100.1 MHz) in the Galmudug State, and Jowhar (100.1 MHz) in the HirShabelle State.

In addition to radio, Radio Dalsan also provides news, opinion pieces, and podcasts through its website. The radio Dalsan Facebook and Twitter accounts are very popular in Somalia, with hundreds of thousands of followers. The website also has an English news section where non-Somali speakers can get news and information about Somalia in that language.

Radio Dalsan broadcasts and airs popular hard talk show program Awoodda 5-aad[1] (Fifth Power) and conducts interviews with high-profile officials such as the current Somali President Hassan Sheikh MohamudPuntland President Said Abdullahi Deni, and former Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire.

Radio Dalsan hosts Somalia’s first all-female[2] newsroom, Bilan Media. With help from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Bilan Media aims to promote Somali women in journalism and media.

Radio Dalsan also shares content with VOA Somali and BBC Somali and broadcasts content from United Nations agencies and other organizations in Somalia.
