A ship transporting 1000 livestock leaves Mogadishu port for Oman

A ship carrying more than 1000 lives mainly cattle has left Mogadishu port for Oman.

The departure of MV Golden Sky from newly refurbished Mogadishu port was witnessed by both outgoing and incoming livestock ministers.

The livestock were purchased by Somali businessmen from pastoralist from the south and central Somalia.

Somalia is one of the leading Africa’s largest exporters of livestock mainly to Gulf States.
