Mogadishu Court Postpones Trial of Radio Journalists

Top English News · Dalsan Editor · February 15, 2015

Benadir regional court in Mogadishu has today postponed the trial of two radio journalists accused of incitement.

This is the fourth time the court has delayed the hearing of Shabelle and Sky FM radio journalists.

Mohamed Bashir Hashi and Mohamud Mohamed Dahir were in detention since august last year when they were arrested in Mogadishu.

Their lawyers have showed their dissatisfaction about what they termed as frequent postponement of their client case.

Owner of the Radio Shabelle and Sky FM, Abdimalik Yussuf Mohamud is also among journalists in prison.

International Media Advocacy groups have called upon federal government authorities to free the detained journalists.
